The staff and board members are extremely proud of our achievements. It was insightful for the organisation and it made us recognise and appreciate the things we do very well, while welcoming the highlighted areas for improvement in some areas. The report has provided us with a focus for our quality improvement programme for the next twelve months.”

Coolock Artane Credit Union is a non profit organization, offering a number of services to members including Savings, Loans, Insurance products, ATM cards, online access and bill payment services. The credit unin has been in operation for over 40 years with assets of almost €100 million, operating two offices over six days and providing services to over 26,000 active members.

The highly coveted Q Mark is only awarded to companies who are committed to achieving the highest standards of quality & excellence, adhere to best practise and have a commitment to continuous improvement. The National Quality and Excellence Awards have grown in strength each year with over 150 companies nominated this year and over 200 companies, organisations and enterprises from all over Ireland attending the Awards ceremony.

With 24 separate categories, the awards were divided across two main areas of Quality and Hygiene.  This year also saw the addition of a new category – the First Time Q Mark Award. The finalists in each category excelled through the most rigorous of audit/assessment programmes designed to produce long-term understanding and commitment to quality in every aspect of their business.

The Quality award categories include awards across financial and insurance industries, government health and social services, manufacturing and food and beverage producers.
